Senior Citizens
Dayanand Social Security Scheme
The scheme is an initiative under “Freedom From Hunger” project and
was launched on 2nd Oct. 2001 and came into force with effect from 01-01-2002.
The scheme provides monthly pension to Senior Citizen(60 years and above ),
Disabled persons and Single Women @ Rs. 1000/- p.m. The monthly pension amount
is transferred by electronic clearance system in the individual accounts. The
detail of the beneficiaries year wise as below :-
Identity cards
Identity cards to the senior citizens (Age 60 and above) are issued through the
Directorate of Social Welfare.
